Ole! Our Whirlwind Trip through Spain and Portugal!

Oh my goodness! It makes me tired just to think about all the places we've been this past week! At last count, I think I was in 12 cities in 7 days--and that's not counting the ones we repeated! Our trip was awesome but I am definitely glad to get home and get some rest!

Here are the highlights:
madrid (great city--ate paella in the plaza mayor)
toledo (holy toledo, this place was so cool!)
ubeda (spent the night in a palace and toured an olive oil factory)
granada (walked all around the alhambra)
malaga (stuck our toes in the mediterranean)
ronda (saw the oldest and first bullring in spain)
seville (an amazing cathedral, awesome flamenco dancing, and tasty tapas)
lisbon (saw a historic bullfight and had a great dinner in the barrio alto)
sintra (they have a beautiful palace)
plus, pit stops in frankfurt and chicago (gotta love flying standby!)

We made it back to Dallas on Saturday evening, but we're still waiting for our luggage to get here. The last time we saw it was in Lisbon, but the Lufthansa agent told me today it had been sent to Chicago, and then would be sent to Dallas tomorrow--let's hope! As soon as my bag (with my camera cord) gets here, I'll post pictures!
